Meet the First Member of Our Fleet: Poppy

Poppy's Story

It all started in September 2024 when we found a little purple truck on Facebook Marketplace in St. Pete and knew she was something special. With the help of a U-Haul and my brother, we brought her home—and that's when the real adventure began.

She's a 1992 Suzuki Carry—automatic, no AC (so bring your shades), but she does have a radio that blasts Taylor Swift like a champ. We called her Barney at first, but then opened it up to our Instagram crew for votes. The people spoke, and Poppy was born!

Fun fact: we originally wanted to name the company Poppy Lane, but the name was already taken and we didn't want any trademark troubles. So we pivoted, got to work on our LLCs and trademarks, and started building what would become Roots Flower Truck.

Poppy may be small, but she's mighty—and the heart of our fleet. We hope to snap a photo with you and Poppy at one of our pop-ups soon!
